About the Outsider
Zachariah is a fifth-generation Texan. He only brags about that in certain company.
He served five years on active duty in the United States Marine Corps, where people who should have known better let him work as an air traffic controller. (Incidentally, Zachariah wants everyone to understand that air traffic controllers are the people in the radar rooms and control towers across the world, making sure your planes don't smash into one another mid-air. Air traffic controllers are not the people waiving glow sticks at your Southwest airlines flight after you land, returning home after losing every penny you have at the craps table and The Spearmint Rhino.) Zachariah never heard a shot fired in anger while in the Marine Corps, but he knows several Marines who would have enjoyed shooting at him.
Zachariah graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in Government. During undergrad, he worked in and around Texas politics as a policy analyst, chief of staff, and a quasi-political operative... To date, he still has no idea what any of that means.
Zachariah absconded from The University of Texas School of Law in 2012 with a Doctorate of Jurisprudence. He has practiced law since then; enjoys writing about himself in the third person; and, is hoping to make the world a better place, even if ever-so-slightly, by promoting the outdoors, conservation, adventure, and humanity.
